Meet Local Authors at Mundelein Heritage Museum

The Mundelein Historical Commission is proud to present a special meet and greet author signing with eight local authors on Saturday, June 15, at the Mundelein Heritage Museum, 601 Noel Drive, in Mundelein. The authors will be on hand to sign their books and discuss their work with visitors.

Authors and works will include: "Mundelein — Images of America" by Shawn Killackey; "Trouble Brewing for Thomas" a children’s book written and illustrated by Christa L. Lawrence; "Mundelein Seminary, A Campus History" by Gail Kahover; the short-story collection "Casualties" by Joyce Becker Lee; "The Fein-er Things — a 52-Week Guild to Living an Inspired Life" by Eric Feinendegen; the poetry collection "Missing Pieces" by comedian Warren B. Hall; "Grammar Moses, A Humorous Look at Grammar and Usage" by Jim Baumann; and "The Covid Diaries, 2020-2024, Anatomy of a Contagion as it Happened" by Cory Franklin, MD, with Robert A. Weinstein, MD.

The event will run from 1-4 p.m. Special guest John Hynds, author of "The Man in the Lake," will also be on hand to discuss various historical items that were found in Diamond Lake.

The public is welcome to come meet the authors and have their books signed. Books will be available for purchase as well. All visitors are also invited to stop into the Heritage Museum and see its revolving displays of fascinating items that paint a picture of life in early Mundelein. Admission is free.
