75th anniversary to a local HVAC company

We want to celebrate a remarkable milestone in the history of American Weathermakers Heating, Cooling and Plumbing, to honor their 75th Anniversary in business!

Let’s take a journey back 75 years when this incredible story began. Founder Bill

Hochschild, a Mechanical Engineer and a veteran of World War II, established the company in Evanston, Illinois, on February 1, 1949. Being the first Carrier Air Conditioning Dealer in the Chicagoland area he recognized the need for comfort in homes, stores, and commercial buildings when air conditioning was still a new concept.

Now we celebrate 75 years of excellence, dedication, and commitment to their customers. Dick Hochschild, Bill’s son, joined the family business after serving in the Army and completing his Mechanical Engineering degree at the University of Illinois and MBA from Indiana University, has run American Weathermakers for the last 50 years.

From a humble five-person team, American Weathermakers has flourished into a thriving enterprise with over 75 highly skilled employees, the majority of whom have been with the company for over 25 years. American Weathermakers has a large fleet of more than 50 service vehicles, to ensure that your home will be serviced without any delay.

Today we are proud of honoring our heritage, and our progression as a company through two generations of same family ownership, to an ESOP company (employee owner company) that we have today. We intent to dedicate our services to the customers that help get us to this point and to the next milestone of 100th anniversary. Our company motto is “We Won’t Be Comfortable Until You Are!”.

With their rich history, impeccable reputation, and a team of dedicated professionals, American Weathermakers is ready to serve you with the same exceptional quality and customer service that have defined them for 75 remarkable years.
