Woman found dead outside Des Plaines police station
An autopsy is pending on a 49-year-old Des Plaines woman declared dead this morning after being found unresponsive outside the Des Plaines police station, police said.
At about 5 a.m., a passer-by notified an officer at the police department front desk that a woman was unconscious on the sidewalk in front of the station along Miner Street, Cmdr. Nick Treantafeles said.
The woman, identified as Donna Cinelli, was pronounced dead at 5:10 a.m. after paramedics could not revive her at the scene, he said.
“There were no signs of foul play. Nothing suspicious. Nothing out of the ordinary,” Treantafeles said.
Treantafeles said Cinelli's 83-year-old father told police that she had some medical issues.
An autopsy is scheduled for today.
“We are waiting to hear back from the medical examiner's office,” Treantafeles said. “There's no investigation on this or anything.”
