Fundraiser at Sears Centre will benefit Palatine-based WINGS

The 10th annual A Night for Renee fundraiser will take place at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at the Sears Centre Arena, 5333 Prairie Stone Parkway, Hoffman Estates. The event will benefit WINGS, a Palatine-based domestic violence agency. Each year, Victor Pacini and others organize the celebration to remember his sister, Renee, who in 2001 was shot and killed by her husband in Lake Villa before he turned the gun on himself. More than 600 people already have signed up to attend the event, which will feature entertainment, silent auctions, raffles, appetizer buffet and cash bar.
