Itasca: Santa Claus is Coming to Town runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, at the Itasca Community Library, 500 W. Irving Park Road. The event includes Santa's arrival at 6 p.m., a display of 12 decorated trees, music by Peacock Middle School choir and crafts. Each family receives a commemorative ornament, while supplies last. Lisle: Lights of Lisle starts with the Santa Parade at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, from Ogden Avenue south on Main Street to the village hall, where the official tree-lighting is at 6 p.m. Lisle Community Band performs and roughly 2,000 luminaria line the streets. Free trolley and hayrack rides. Lisle Heritage Society's Once Upon a Christmas is from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, at the Museums of Lisle Station Park, 921 School St. Includes period costumes, demonstrations, children's crafts, music, brick-oven baking, model train displays, hayrides, blacksmith and Santa. Villa Park: Joyful Traditions takes place 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at Rugaard Gazebo on the Illinois Prairie Path, Ardmore and Park Boulevard.
