Nick Nolte Down & Out In Malibu

He started his career in “Rich Man, Poor Man” and studded his resume with roles in hits like “48 Hours” and “The Prince of Tides.” But 72-year-old actor Nick Nolte’s run at his 6,000-square-foot Malibu estate appears to be finished.

Nolte has listed his 2-acre “artist’s paradise” on Bonsall Drive in Malibu for $8.25 million. With it comes mahogany and onyx interior trimmings and vaulted ceilings, a lagoon, tennis court and guesthouse and, true to Hollywood style, an A-list of former owners including entertainer Tommy Chong, music producer David Foster and Don Felder of Eagles songwriting fame.

Three’s Company, But Suzanne Somers’ Abode Can Handle It

TV star and motivational speaker Suzanne Somers knows how to relax. All it takes is 73 acres in Palm Springs with a resort-like retreat home studded with cozy spa rooms and bathtubs.

Somers has recently listed her 1920’s Provincial-style home for $14.5 million. Set off in the rocky hills over the California desert retreat town, Somers' estate includes five structures, including guesthouses, an amphitheater for outdoor concerts and pool. Somers has her priorities in order. The 10,000-square-foot home comes with two kitchens, a wine vault and, yes, 11 bathrooms, because a dozen would have been one too many.

Can You Top This Manhattan Listing? Um. No.

A $90 million listing has been seen in Manhattan. So has a sky-high $115 million listing. So what could be next?

You got it! There is now a $125 million threshold that’s been crossed. It is a three-floor penthouse at the Pierre Hotel that, no, you cannot afford – unless you are a titan of Wall Street or you have personal access to the U.S. Mint.

The home of stock market analyst Martin Zweig at 795 Fifth Avenue on the Upper East Side includes the entire 41st, 42nd and 43rd floors containing 16 rooms, including 5 en-suite bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, plus 4 terraces with the obligatory sweeping views of Manhattan.

Zweig, who died in February at the age of 70, bought it for $21.5 million in cash back in 1999. And since the storied NY building does not abide by financing, whoever decides to take the bait on buying the priciest property in NYC will have to come with a boatload of Benjamins.

Nate Berkus Selling Small-But-Tidy NYC Coop

His career may have taken off courtesy of Oprah, but there was still a place in the life of designer Nate Berkus for a typically tiny NYC apartment – until now. Berkus has just listed his 1-bedroom, 1-bath abode on Downing Street in Greenwich Village – a move made easy since he owns another larger apartment in Manhattan as well as a home in Los Angeles. Equipped with a renovated kitchen, Berkus paid $550,000 in 2006 but has it listed for $699,000.
