Moves like Levine
On stage, Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine croons about “Moves Like Jagger,” so it should come as no surprise that Levine also demonstrates old-school sensibility when it comes to where he lives.
The popular singer and judge on “The Voice” has just traded his Hollywood Hills pad for a 6,500-square-foot ranch nestled in one of 90210’s more private spots. Levine bought the 1940s abode for $4.83 million.
His new place is in a gated community and down a long, private drive — a good move for a man with so many fans. And if what Levine did to his old place (featured in Architectural Digest) is any clue, we can well expect that the yoga-practicing heartthrob with a pretty personalized sense of style will remodel this 6-bedroom, 7-bathroom place, too.
Will the last U2 band member turn out the lights?
Count U2 bassist Adam Clayton as the last one of his chums to depart the famous New York condo building The Eldorado. Clayton has listed his magnificently remodeled apartment for $8.695 million.
Like band mates Bono and The Edge, Clayton has called The Eldorado his New York City home for almost 20 years. In 1993 and ’94, he purchased a pair of apartments for about $1 million, then had them combined into a gallery-like unit, complete with a large chef’s kitchen, huge master suite with views of Central Park and a long, glimmering hall that is perfect for showing art.
And like his band mates, who moved out of The Eldorado over the past few years for new U.S. destinations, Clayton is calling it quits with the grand prewar building. As a proud father to a 2-year-old boy, the 50-year-old Clayton may be looking for a more family-friendly abode.
Retirement home
The Atlanta real estate market has taken a hit since the 2008 recession, but that may have benefitted Chipper Jones. The freshly retired baseball All-Star and future Hall of Famer is separated from his second wife and needed his own place near the home he shared with Sharon and their boys.
That led Jones to snag a bachelor pad-like mini-mansion in Roswell, GA, complete with a beautiful outdoor pool, large yard and accompanying trails. The 4,500-square-foot home cost $1.22 million and sits on more than 3 acres. That will be good for Jones, a self-avowed outdoorsman who needs a place to ride his ATV and practice his golf swing.
The place also has a huge patio — perfect for grilling the year’s supply of brats and sausages gifted to Jones by the Milwaukee Brewers during his last game at Miller Stadium.

Chloe Sevigny is hoping for some “Big Love” for her East Village apartment.
The actress has re-listed the 1-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom co-op on E. 10th St. for $1.995 million. That’s about $200,000 more than she was seeking last year before a deal to sell it fell through. The brownstone apartment comes with a sweet perk: its own private rose garden out the back door.
