On April 16, the Birches Assisted Living in Clarendon Hills is partnering with the Clarendon Hills Historical society for "A Tea to Remember," an afternoon tea party and guided tour through the history of Clarendon Hills. The event will take place from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at The Birches Assisted Living located at 215 55th Street, Clarendon Hills. While enjoying tea, scones, biscuits and tiny sandwiches, participants will learn more about the history of Clarendon Hills through stories and artifacts collected by the Clarendon Hills Historical Society. Clarendon Hills Historical Society President Diane Hiller will provide an overview of the town's history complemented by pictures and historical artifacts. Some of the artifacts Hiller will share were salvaged from Middaugh Mansion, the historic 1890s mansion that was torn down in 2002.
