A Wauconda man who died after a rollover crash on a bridge over the Fox River near McHenry did not die from injuries sustained in the crash, the coroner's office said Monday.

A 23-year-old Ingleside man died and a 20-year-old McHenry woman was critically injured in a motorcycle crash on Wilson Road in unincorporated Grant Township Wednesday night.

It's nearly time to "lay that willow on that onion." No, it is not about cooking or gardening. Rather, "willow" refers to a " base ball" bat, "onion, apple, horsehide or pill" refers to the ball … at least it did in 1860. The McHenry County Historical Society and Grayslake Heritage Center are collaborating to stage a Civil War-era baseball game at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 20, in Prairie Grove.

When Robert Dietsche started as a pharmacist there were two insurance companies for perscriptions and a typewriter was used for the labels. He is retiring from Osco Drug after 45 years.
