Malloy, recognizing the need for God’s grace and forgiveness in the lives of Catholics, has again asked the 105 parishes in the 11-county diocese to add Wednesday, March 25, to their regular Lenten confession calendar and, where possible, to offer confessions that day from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

    16" -- NO WEB At the recent annual Blue and Gold Banquet for Cub Scout Pack 36, the Dundee Township Lions Club awarded four pack members the “Serving Communities Together Patch.” This is a patch designed by Lions Club International to recognize Scouts who have served alongside the Lions Club within the community. In 2014, the following Scouts have worked six hours or more in Dundee Township Lions Club events. They were: Andrew Lea, Andrew Bober, Tyler Sugel, and Sean Trznadel.

Li of Arlington Heights, founder and president of NL Chemical Technology in Mount Prospect, who returned to his native China to accept the country’s highest honor for a scientist. As the prime minister bestowed a medal around his neck, he recalled leaving Shainghai, working on his Phd in the United States, and then establishing himself with such companies as UOP Honeywell and then going off on his own. Now at age 82, he still is active with the company and co-chairs U.S.-Chinese conferences for engineering students in China.
