Parade units will begin staging at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the student lot at the high school off West Wilson Street. The parade will start at 5:30 p.m. and proceed east on West Wilson to Lincoln Street, turn right onto southbound Lincoln to Main Street, and turn right onto westbound Main, ending at the high school parking lot at Main and Millview Drive.

    The Batavia school district has, among other things, instructed high school teacher John Dryden to stop using sarcasm when talking to students, to not give them legal advice, and to run any concerns he has about anything past administrators before telling students, according to the letter of remedy issued Tuesday. Dryden is being disciplined for telling students they had a Fifth Amendment right not to incriminate themselves before administering a school survey about emotions and behaviors, including drug and alcohol use.
