Owner Noubar Hawe took over the building at 455 Reddington Drive, which was vacant, and kept the name on the awning. The business reopened two weeks ago, near the intersection of Randall and McDonald roads, and already there are regulars excited to see a family-friendly Italian restaurant in their neighborhood.

Spiros Kulubis’ last visit home, he brought a U.S. flag — that had flown during combat operations in Afghanistan — for his brother, Harry Kulubis, owner of Georgia’s Restaurant in Algonquin. As part of a recent ribbon-cutting ceremony, military officials were on hand to help raise the flag in front of the restaurant.
