It was disgusting that she spent $750,000 to put out outright untruths and lies about my record.”

    Former state Rep. Chris Nybo says downtown Chicago should get a casino, but only if an existing gambling facility in Aurora, Elgin or Joliet packs it in and moves to the city. That view is one of the very few issues separating Nybo and state Rep. Dennis Reboletti in the March 18 Republican primary to succeed Sen. Kirk Dillard in the state’s 24th Senate District. The winner will advance to the November general election to face Democrat Suzanne Glowiak of Western Springs. Reboletti favors a Chicago casino, in addition to expansion in Lake County and downstate Danville, as long as the proceeds are dedicated to a specific issue such as education, pension reform or a capital bill.

    Former state Rep. Chris Nybo says hes joining the Republican primary race to succeed Sen. Kirk Dillard in the Illinois Senate. Nybo will take on state Rep. Dennis Reboletti, a fellow Elmhurst Republican, in the race. Reboletti announced his candidacy in September.
