    North Central College’s Student Director Series features the original play “Cynics,” by senior Emma Smith, next weekend in the Madden Theatre at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave., Naperville. Performances are scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 30 through Nov. 1. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.

    “12 Angry Jurors” is being presented at Streamwood High School, 701 W. Schaumburg Road, 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, through Saturday, Oct. 18. Tickets are $5 for students and $8 for adults. The play dramatizes the civic responsibility of jury duty, as the members of the jury confront their prejudices.
