    Get ready for a high-flying adventure. Geneva High School will present “Peter Pan,” the musical adaptation of Sir J.M. Barrie’s 1904 play. The show is about the adventures of Peter Pan, a mischievous boy who can fly and never grows up. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 19-21, at Geneva High School, 416 McKinley Ave.

    Elgin Community College Musical Theatre will present its spring production of the Tony Award-winning musical “Crazy for You: The New Gershwin Musical,” from Saturday, Feb. 21 through Sunday, March 1, in the Blizzard Theatre, located in the Building H ECC Arts Center, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin. The production starts at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and at 3 p.m. on Sundays.

    This December, students from Friendship Junior High School in Des Plaines brought the 1998 Disney classic “Mulan” to their performance stage. Friendship students performed a morning matinee for fifth-grade students from Brentwood and Devonshire elementary school in Des Plaines and Robert Frost elementary school in Mount Prospect as a way of introducing the students to their future school.
