Leyzle Artega, of Round Lake, was pronounced dead at 9:25 p.m. Saturday at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. A District 116 spokeswoman said Leyzle was a first-grader at Raymond Ellis Elementary School.

Gina Epps, 39, a former physical education teacher from Round Lake Area Unit District 116, was sentenced to one year of supervision by Judge David Brodsky, Lake County Assistant State's Attorney Tyler Dyson said.
