    New Rosary coach Jessie Wilcox got a chance to honor her first class of seniors Wednesday night in front of a packed gym against archrival Aurora Central Catholic. Maddy Hemmerich, Madison Richmond, Amy Seraphin, Karly Tate and Mary Wentworth plus senior manager Kianna Musaraca got to go out with a win, erasing an early 8-point Chargers lead for a 44-38 victory that clinched third place in the Suburban Catholic Conference.

    Aurora Central Catholic mounted a furious second half run, rallying from an 11-point deficit to edge Guerin Prep 51-50 in Suburban Christian Blue action. The host Chargers (11-11, 2-7) were led by senior co-captains Alex DeCreane with 19 and Lisa Rodriguez with 11. Both hit pressure free throws late in the 4th quarter to stave off Guerin's comeback attempt. ACC avenged a 55-54 loss to Guerin on Dec. 7.

    Glenbard East senior guard Tahron Harvey and Wheaton Warrenville South senior guard Sierra Bisso have earned Daily Herald MVP honors for their recent basketball performances. Harvey helped the Rams maintain sole possession of first place in the DuPage Valley Conference with a 26-point effort in a victory over West Aurora. Bisso scored 30 points and had a school-record 8 3s in a victory over Hillcrest.

    Rosary 51, St. Edward 47: Senior Karly Tate recorded a game-high 22 points to help the Royals secure the Suburban Christian Blue victory. Rosary (11-10, 5-3) built a commanding 21-7 lead and held off a late charge. Rachel Choice chipped in 11 points for Rosary while Madison Richmond contributed 10.

From volunteering at Girl Scout camp, to serving at soup kitchens and building homes for the needy, they touch the lives of many. Students are from Larkin, Rosary, St. Charles East and Marian Central Catholic high schools; and Marmion, Elgin and Illinois Math and Science academies.
