    Someone broke into a trailer on the 1000 block of East Fabyan Parkway near Geneva between noon Monday and 5:30 a.m. Tuesday and stole a generator, two chain saws, a pump and three laser levels — worth a combined $2,500 — according to a sheriff’s report.

    An armed robber displayed a gun around 11:30 p.m. March 18 at 7-Eleven, 1786 W. Algonquin Road, Arlington Heights and demanded money. The clerk gave him an undisclosed amount of money out of a cash drawer. The robber was described as white or Hispanic, 5-foot-7, 210 pounds, mustache and wearing a light-colored Chicago Bulls winter hat with a pom on top, dark sunglasses, gray pullover, black gloves, black pants and white gym shoes.

    Robert R. Haizlip, 50, of Carpentersville, was charged Sunday with unlawful restraint and eight counts of domestic battery, court records show. His bail was set at $15,000 in Kane County bond court, and he is due in court April 1.

    Three men from Texas were arrested at 1:40 a.m. Saturday at Wal-Mart, 801 N. Randall Road, and charged with retail theft, according to a Batavia police report. Horace W. Young Jr., 33, of the 9900 block of Adleta Boulevard in Dallas; Anthony E. Young, 29, of the 8800 block of Hornaday Circle in Fort Worth; and Arie K. Young, 33, of the 6100 block of Avery Drive in Fort Worth, are accused of stealing electronics.

    A woman purchased three $100 Vanilla Visa gift cards in December at Walgreens, 1 N. Elmhurst Road, Prospect Hieghts. When her family tried to use the cards, they discovered that the value had been stolen. One card was missing $98.50 after it was used fraudulently at the Ulta store in Prospect Heights. The second card lost $95 in value when it was used at Sears in Vernon Hills. The third card lost all $100 in value when it was used at Jewel in Des Plaines and several times at a Mobil gas station in Vernon Hills.
