Authorities were called to the 11N300 block of Russell Road in Plato Township at 1:52 p.m. April 28 for a report of shots fired, according to a sheriff's report, No arrests were made. Police found more than 150 shell casings from different types of guns around a small campfire littered with beer cans, the report said.

Cameron T. Hardiman, 33, of Elgin, was arrested at about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday and charged with reckless driving, attempting to elude a police officer, driving with a suspended driver's license, operating an uninsured vehicle and possession of 2.5 grams or less of cannabis, according to a police report.

Elgin police and sheriff's deputies investigating a complaint about guns being fired at 1:52 a.m. Sunday in the 11N300 block of Russell Road, found firecracker remnants, and more than 150 spent shotgun shells, rifle casings and .45-caliber bullet casings, as well as an unattended fire in a fire pit on the property.

The Kane County Probation Department, 37W777 Route 38, St. Charles, reported that a $1,620 electronic home monitoring bracelet was damaged between 8:32 p.m. March 6 and 2:42 p.m. March 8 by a suspect who was transferred to the Illinois Department of Corrections, according to a sheriff's report. Officials discovered the damage after the bracelet was picked up from the former home of the 24-year-old suspect, whose information was not released.

A resident of the 38W600 block of Glenview Drive near St. Charles wired $7,000 between 10 a.m. Wednesday and 12:21 p.m. Friday to an unknown person after receiving a call that a male relative had been arrested and was stranded in Peru, according to a sheriff's report. The victim became suspicious after the caller asked for more money day after day, the report said.

Anthony H. Bruno, 32, of Streamwood, was charged with driving under the influence, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration of more than .08, and improper lane use after a traffic stop at 11:33 p.m. Jan. 20 at Route 25 and May Lane near St. Charles, according to a sheriff's report.

A resident of the 50W300 block of Main Street near Elburn lost a wallet between 2 and 3 p.m. Sept. 22, according to a sheriff's report. The woman got locked out of the home and tried to use a credit card to get back into the home but failed. She then walked to a gas station, realized that she left the wallet outside the home and returned to find it missing.
