    The Friends of the Palatine Public Library will hold its Winter Used Book Sale from Friday, Feb. 15 to Sunday, Feb. 17 at the main library, 700 N. North Court, Palatine. Hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and 12:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday.

As patron and staff comments have contributed to expanded and enriched library experiences, the library has evolved in recent years through building renovations, service updates, and technology improvements. The Board of Library Trustees and staff recognized that the original mission statement no longer fully represented the current goals and objectives of the organization.

    The Friends of the Palatine Library will host its Holiday Used Book Sale Friday, Nov. 16 to Sunday, Nov. 18 at the Palatine Public Library, 700 N. North Court. Sale hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 3 p.m. Sunday. More than 2,000 items donated by the community including books, CDs and DVDs will be sold at a deep discount.
