    Associated Press IOWA CITY, Iowa — Aaron White and Anthony Clemmons each scored 14 points to lead Iowa to a 70-49 win over Northern Illinois on Wednesday night. Adam Woodbury had 12 points and six rebounds for the Hawkeyes (4-2). Gabriel Olaseni added 10 points, five rebounds and four blocks in 20 minutes. Aaric Armstead scored 13 points on 4-of-11 shooting to lead Northern Illinois (2-1). Jordan Threloff added nine points and 11 rebounds. Iowa scored 22 points off 17 turnovers, blocked 12 shots — one shy of tying the school record — and held the Huskies to only 27.9 percent shooting. The Hawkeyes used a 16-0 run during a six-minute stretch early in the first half to pull away from Northern Illinois. The Huskies never got closer than 10 points in the second half.

    Drew Hare threw an 18-yard touchdown strike to a wide open Chad Beebe in the end zone with 6 minutes left, and Northern Illinois held on to beat Ohio 21-14 on Tuesday night. Hare’s game-winning TD pass capped an 8-play, 70-yard drive for the Huskies (9-2, 6-1 Mid-American Conference). The Bobcats drove to the Huskies 42 on the ensuing series, but stalled when Marlon Moore recovered a Landon Smith fumble with 4:03 to play. The Huskies then ran out the clock.

Reginald Bell, Jr., who finished with 257 total yards, scored from the 4 to give EMU (2-6, 1-3) a 17-14 lead at the start of the final quarter.

Drew Hare tossed the first of his two touchdown passes to Juwan Brescacin a minute and a half into the game to give the Huskies a 7-0 lead, but Rawls capped a 10-play, 86-yard drive by punching in from the 5 to even the score on the Chippewas’ first possession.

    Drew Hare passed for two touchdowns and ran for another to lead Northern Illinois to a 23-15 win over in-state rival Northwestern on Saturday. He got help from Da’Ron Brown, who hauled in the two TD passes and finished with six receptions for 128 yards. Hare, who didn’t play until the second half, completed six of 10 passes for 109 yards and had 11 rushes for 31 yards. Hare was the third quarterback to play for the Huskies.
