When the first earthquake struck Nepal on April 25, NIU professor Mark Rosenbaum, who's teaching in Kathmandu, said he wasn't shocked. Now, he is. A second earthquake, this one a magnitude 7.3, hit Nepal on Tuesday and Rosenbaum, of Naperville, said living conditions that were stabilizing after the original quake now have worsened. "We're struggling to have normality in our lives and it's extremely difficult," he said Tuesday via Skype.
