The second and final day of the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships brought about 470 runners to the Al B. Carius Track at North Central College for a day of competition that was both intimate and intense. "There's nothing like a nationals atmosphere," said Jenna Loynachan, an Illinois Wesleyan senior of St. Charles whose big event Saturday was the opening leg of the 4X400-meter relay. "Especially indoor when everyone is together."

It's hard to believe that a team with as much postseason success as North Central would go into the first round of the NCAA Division III men's basketball tournament and feel inexperienced. However, in their first home playoff game in more than two decades the Cardinals came out of the gates with some obvious jitters Saturday against Centre College. Fortunately for North Central, the overall talent was just too much for Centre to keep up with and the Cardinals won decisively 66-50 led by junior forward Landon Gamble. Coach Todd Raridon's team was steadied after a consistent post presence in the first half.

Two North Central College students have launched their first app based on their favorite thing, food. Naperville residents Jeremy A. Markham and Kyler W. Juckins, both 20, are co-founders of DinnDinn, a so-called virtual fridge for the dishes, drinks and desserts you love or hate. This app gives you the chance to track your own, as well as those of your friends and family.
