    Former American Gladiator, health trainer and Lisle native Jennifer Widerstrom will replace longtime trainer Jillian Michaels on the upcoming season of NBC’s “The Biggest Loser.” Widerstrom, a former Naperville North High School gymnast, will help the show’s obese contestants shed weight and reclaim their health when the show’s 16th season debuts Sept. 11. Filming began last week.

    A Naperville teen’s tribute to the hospital that helped save her father’s life raised nearly $2,000 and brought 150 people together for a night of “Healing Hearts with Harmony.” “It was really exciting to be able to look out and see I put on this concert and I was able to bring all these people together,” said Taylor Kroma, who planned the benefit concert for Edward Hospital.

The Redhawks’ senior second baseman singled home the winning run in the bottom of seventh inning to give Naperville Central’s baseball team a 2-1 victory over Naperville North in the Class 4A Metea Valley regional semifinals in Aurora.
