Ashley Richardson reached a milestone Tuesday night. Stevenson's junior point guard scored 14 points, surpassing 1,000 for her career, as the Patriots clinched a share of the North Suburban Lake Division girls basketball championship by beating host Mundelein 44-30.

Stubborn Stevenson repeats as North Suburban champ

Defending champion Stevenson entered the second day of the North Suburban Conference wrestling tournament in third place Saturday at Wauconda. But the Patriots' refuse-to-lose attitude went a long way, as they built a commanding 30-point lead over Grant heading into the final round before capturing a second straight NSC championship.

Warren rallies past Mundelein

The streaking Warren boys basketball team had already knocked off Stevenson and Zion-Benton in recent matchups. So the Blue Devils' 5-game winning streak looked safe as they traveled to 2-game winner Mundelein on Friday night. It's a 6-game winning streak for Warren now -- but extending it was anything but easy.

Making it to the state tournament was a big step for Stevenson's boys bowling team last weekend in the sectional. The Patriots are still on a roll after the first day of state competition. They came out rocking and rolling in downstate O'Fallon, setting a school record over their first three games with 3,499 pins to grab second place heading into Saturday's action.
