It promises to be a tough fight against cancer for Palatine resident Linda Frahm, but she gained some comfort Sunday, knowing a lot of people are in her corner. Frahm received an overwhelming show of support from the community during a Haircuts for Hope fundraiser held for her at Halo Hair & Nails in Mount Prospect. Proceeds from haircuts and nail treatments went to benefit Frahm, 48, a teacher in Mount Prospect School District 57 for the past 26 years. She currently teaches at Lions Park Elementary School.Frahm is battling metastatic breast cancer.

Jason Kaiz said hes delighted to be heading to Mount Prospect Elementary District 57 this summer. Kaiz, the incoming principal of Lincoln Middle School, is one of a number of new administrators that will be coming on board to replace people who have taken new jobs.

Mount Prospect Elementary District 57 Superintendent Elaine Aumiller said the district will move swiftly to find a new principal to lead Fairview.
