    Amid applause from a group called People for a Pool, the Lake Park High School board of education passed two measures Tuesday in Roselle that will ask voters whether to raise taxes to build and maintain a pool at the East Campus. “The board is committed to a balanced budget,” said Superintendent Lynne Panega. “It's unfortunate we don't have the finances in-house. So we hare going to have to look to our taxpayers to weigh in on this.”

If residents approve, property taxes for the owner of a $250,000 home would increase by about $65 per year. "People see we listened and responded in a positive way," Executive Director Gary Major said.
