The Reds stole six times in the first four innings, using six hits and four walks to build a 6-0 lead against Arrieta (7-5).

    Outfielder Jorge Soler homered in his first big league at-bat on Wednesday night off Cincinnati’s Mat Latos, a noteworthy debut for the Cubs’ 22-year-old prospect. Soler connected on a 2-1 pitch from Latos in the second inning, hitting the ball onto the netting above the Reds bullpen in center field. He’s the first Cubs player to homer in his first at-bat in the majors since Starlin Castro connected off Homer Bailey in Cincinnati on May 7, 2010.
