    A group of parents unhappy with curriculum changes in store for next year at Westlake Middle School in Lombard Elementary District 44 now is working with district administration to improve communication for the future. We have supportive parents and we want them to feel in the loop, District 44 Superintendent Jim Blanche said. With this decision, clearly they felt left out.

The board listened to one speaker opposed to the change designed to balance class sizes between Butterfield and Manor Hill schools, then acted, voting 7-0 in favor of implementing the change.
