Lisle dad pleads guilty to harassing daughters’ coach Apr 30, 2013 12:00 AM
A Lisle man pleaded guilty to a felony harassment charge Tuesday for threatening to kill a high school volleyball coach who benched his daughter. John Kasik, 61, was sentenced to 24 months of probation and 20 days in the DuPage County sheriff's work alternative program.

John Kasik, 61, also is accused of battering the Lisle Senior High School athletic director during a confrontation at school offices.

A decade after a Lisle village board decision banning lights at Lisle Junior High School's Wilde Field, the once-controverisal idea has been resurrected by residents who have taken their cause to the school district. Now Lisle Unit District 202 has formed an advisory committee to explore whether Lisle High School's sports teams should continue playing night home games at Benedictine University or have lights installed at Wilde Field for soccer matches and Friday night football games.
