    Until Oct. 3, the Adult Education division at College of Lake County is giving away free GED Ready tests. By taking GED Ready, students can learn if they are ready to pass the GED test or if they need to improve in specific skill areas.

    The College of Lake County and the University of Wisconsin-Parkside approved an agreement on Sept. 25 expanding educational options for students in the college’s business career programs. The agreement was signed by CLC President Jerry Weber and UW-Parkside Chancellor Debbie Ford at a ceremony on the college’s Grayslake Campus attended by administrators, faculty and students.

  • Lindenhurst man sentenced to prison and probation for sexually abusing child over 13 years of age Sep 26, 2014 4:49 PM
    A Lindenhurst man was sentenced to 3 years in prison and 30 months of probation after pleading guilty to abusing a child between the ages of 13 and 18. William Dehn, 42, will have to serve 50 percent of his prison sentence before being eligible for parole, Lake County Judge Victoria Rossetti said Friday.

Public performances will be held at 3 and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5.

    It was a grand affair on Thursday evening,August 21, in Preston Bradley Hall at the Chicago Cultural Center, for close to 400 people who attended RPM Advertising’s 20th anniversary celebration. And most guests “dressed to impress” as the tongue in cheek request suggested on the invitation. The cocktails flowed, whimsical hors d’oeuvres were passed and music by the popular Freddy Jones Band, a native Chicago group that has found international fame, rocked on until 11 p.m.
