Their effort raised abouit $700 and earned a visit of thanks Monday from the CEO of Feed My Starving Children. "Kids provide a significant amount of the volunteering and support," CEO Mark Crea said. "It's kids feeding kids."

More than 2,300 winter coats and jackets, along with dozens of gloves, scarves and other winter apparel were collected for local veterans.
