The song, written by Danielle Stratton, is about her struggle with chronic pain over the last four years.

On Oct 16, he got a chance to put the equipment and his training to use as he and fellow Officer Victoria Gwizdak helped save the lives of two wounded deputies in Holiday Hills. “The most important thing is, whether it's a police officer or a civilian who is wounded, you've gotta stop the bleeding and get them out to a trauma center,” Hueramo said.

  • McHenry sheriff: Shooter ready to ‘finish off’ wounded deputies Oct 21, 2014 6:49 PM
    McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren said a shooter opened fire on two deputies without warning. Both were hit and “conscious, but probably incapacitated,” he said. Another deputy returned fire and forced the shooter back into his Holiday Hills home Friday. “I’m sure he would have finished the job on the two officers who were on the ground.”
