    In terms of wins and losses, not a lot went right for the IC Catholic Prep girls this weekend at Redbird Arena. But perspective can help soothe. The Knights got just two points from their two leading scorers and the offense stalled to a season-low output as they fell to Teutopolis 32-28 in the third-place game of the Class 2A state tournament on Saturday night.

The Knights came out fast from the opening tip utilizing a strong defense and overall team play, completely defusing the Eagles offense. The Knights took a 25-8 lead at halftime.

The Knights defended their home court with a 39-18 rebounding advantage in defeating the Warriors 61-33. IC Catholic (22-6), which won its first regional since 2008, advances to the Chicago Marine Military Academy sectional and will play Chicago Christ the King in the first semifinal game on Tuesday.
