The Lake County Coordinated Transportation Services Committee's Northwest Demonstration Project began in January 2010 to provide curb-to-curb dial-a-ride transportation service in the northwest townships of Lake County has been expanded to the townships of Fremont and Wauconda.

Grant Township trustees will discuss whether to the increase salaries of elected officials during a special board meeting Monday night. "We haven't been able to decide whether to increase salaries at this point or not," Supervisor Kay Starostovic said. "We are kind of torn on the idea."
