    Grayslake Elementary District 46 has gone on record asking Illinois lawmakers to change how state-created charter schools are funded. District 46's resolution mirrors a document created by neighboring Woodland Elementary District 50 in Gurnee. Woodland has solicited support from nearby districts because of cooncerns over the flow of its state money to Prairie Crossing Charter School in Grayslake.

    Former Prairie Crossing Charter School principal Brian Greene has filed a lawsuit contending his firing in December was based on false claims against him by Director Nigel Whittington and two others. Greenes attorney, Anthony Esposito of Libertyville, filed the suit Tuesday in Lake County circuit court.
