Geneva recognized seniors Ashley Puff, Jenna Ginsberg and Kelsey Oswald during Wednesday's regular season finale. The Vikings cruised past Oswego co-op (135.3) and Fenton (102.75) despite an uncharacteristically low 139.65 points.

Glenbard South held on, and now holds its breath. The Raiders escaped Fenton with a 39-36 win Friday night after nearly blowing a 15-point fourth-quarter lead, but in the process may have suffered a bigger loss. Junior guard Stefi Bazigos, the Raiders' leading scorer, came down hard flying in for a layup in the final minute of the first half. Bazigos left the game, went to the locker room, and returned midway through the third quarter with her arm in a sling.

Maine West senior guard Tom Kukec usually is known for 3-point shooting. While Kukec had a huge 3-pointer Friday at Fenton that forced overtime, his biggest basket was a layup. That bucket with 25.6 seconds left was the game-winner in the Warriors' 46-43 victory in Bensenville after once trailing 19-3 midway through the second quarter.

Junior guard Chris Pierro picked up the slack, scoring a career-high 29 points in Wheeling's 57-47 nonconference win over the Bison. The win gave Wheeling a 3-4 record, which means the Wildcats have already surpassed last year's win total.
