    An Elk Grove Village letter to the editor: First, let me thank Tammy Duckworth for her military service, and I am sorry that she was permanently injured. That said, when Joe Walsh was running against Duckworth two years ago he stated that she would not debate him and all she talked about was that she was an Iraq vet and lost her legs in a helicopter crash. He was vilified for that comment and lost.
