Glenbard, library partner for "Enrique's Journey" book chat

The Glen Ellyn Public Library is partnering with the Glenbard Parent Series: (GPS) Navigating Healthy Families for a discussion of the book "Enrique's Journey: The True Story of a Boy Determined to be Reunited With His Mother," by Sonia Nazario. Be part of the book chat of this 2017 Community Read selection. Gilda Ross, Glenbard District 87 student and community projects coordinator, and Glen Ellyn School District 41 Board of Education member Erica Nelson will lead a conversation based on this New York Times bestseller at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, at the Glen Ellyn Public Library. Then, join the Glenbard Parent Series at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, and welcome Nazario to Glenbard East High School, 1014 S. Main St. in Lombard. Nazario will examine complex questions about the economic, social, and human factors in the debate about America's newcomers.
