    Incumbent John Jung and fellow Republican challenger Michael Rein secured two seats on the McHenry County Board for District 5, according to unofficial results. With all precincts reporting, unofficial vote totals show Jung garnered 5,617 votes, Rein received 4,955 votes, and incumbent Democrat Paula Yensen lost her seat with 4,308 votes.

    Incumbent Republican Joe Gottemoller, and challengers, Democrat Kathleen Bergan Schmidt and Republican Donald Kopsell, are vying for two seats on the McHenry County Board representing District 3. With 35 of 41 precincts reporting Tuesday, unofficial vote totals show Gottemoller in the lead with 5,852 votes, followed by Kopsell with 4,515 votes and Schmidt trailing close behind with 3,995 votes.
