  • Cougars hold fan beer-naming contest for new Cougars brew Feb 19, 2015 6:12 PM
    The Kane County Cougars have announced a specialty beer-naming campaign through social media in which fans will help choose the name of a new specialty Cougars beer created by Two Brothers Brewing Co. Fans can vote on one of three preselected beer finalist names — Cougars Grand Slam Ale, Cougars Home Run Ale and Raging Cougar Ale — or submit their own beer name to be considered by Cougars staff.

  • Kane County Cougars sign deal with Diamondbacks Sep 24, 2014 4:31 PM
    Tthe Kane County Cougars announced Wednesday they have struck a two-year agreement with the Arizona Diamondbacks. The player development contract, which runs through the 2016 season, fills the last vacancy in the Midwest League and allows the Cougars to move forward with their ownership, management or front office staff in place as they prepare for their 25th season in minor league baseball.

    Kane County Forest Preserve District commissioners took their first look Friday at the infrastructure improvements proposed for Fifth Third Ballpark, home of the Kane County Cougars. District President John Hoscheit said the changes are welcome, and he has no concerns about plans to increase the number of concerts at the stadium.
