Soon there will be one more offering for some of the 37 million tourists who visit Vegas annually, and it will be aimed directly at sports fans and the radio stations that bring them their sports. "Score! Be The Legend!" — an interactive and technologically advanced venue — is part broadcast facility, part Hall of Fame, and part retail shop inside the Luxor Hotel. It is the brainchild of Fox Sports Radio host and Daily Herald columnist Mike North and his business partner, Jim Beckman.

Jimmie Johnson finished his qualifying run at Texas with the fastest lap on the day, then stayed in his car while waiting to see if anybody would knock him off the pole. When the Sprint Cup points leader finally climbed out of the cockpit of his No. 48 Lowe's Chevrolet more than 30 minutes later Friday, after Brad Keselowski and the rest of the field failed to top his lap of 191.076 mph, he was the polesitter for the second week in a row.

"I still think it was important for me to stand up for myself, and I wouldn't change it," Patrick said Thursday. "I would change my execution of the actual incident. I didn't do a very good job with that, but I guess there's only one way to learn, is to try. It's just not that easy to take someone out."
