    A fire destroyed a two-story home on the 2000 block of Chesterfield Lane in Aurora Thursday afternoon. Fire officials said the cause of the 3 p.m. blaze remains under investigation, but that flames started outside of the home and ignited some vinyl siding.

    A 22-year-old Aurora man is sentenced to nine years in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated robbery. Larry Moore was accused of hitting a man over the head with a piece of wood, tying him up and stealing cash, jewelery and his car in March 2012.

    Kane County authorities are pursuing charges against four men involved in a shooting Thursday night in Aurora Township, the sheriff's office said Friday. Lt. Chris Collins said investigators are not aware of anyone who was hit by the "multiple shots" fired about 7:35 p.m. from a vehicle near Fifth Avenue and Loucks Street.
