Wheaton's St. Francis High to livestream 'A Christmas Carol' Dec. 4-5

On Friday and Saturday, Dec. 4-5, the St. Francis High School Theatre program will perform “A Christmas Carol.”

The adaptation of the Charles Dickens story of the same name, is a tale of an aging businessman, Ebenezer Scrooge, who thinks only of himself and his money. But, after visits from the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and of that Yet to Come, Scrooge changes to become a kind, caring and charitable person.

In accordance with current COVID safety protocols, the school will offer viewings of the performance via real-time livestream for the wider community and drive-in movie experience for a limited number of St. Francis High School families. There are two separate casts for the show this year as an additional COVID prevention safety measure. Each cast has two performances each.

The show will be live streamed Dec. 4-5 at 5:15 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. each night.

The Christmas classic is the third annual production for St. Francis High School with 10% of students involved in the show as either an actor or a tech crew member.

Those interested may view the livestream performance at www.sfhscollegeprep.org/ChristmasCarol.

St. Francis High School is a Catholic, college preparatory learning community that promotes spiritual, academic, physical, and social development in the daily presence of Jesus Christ.
