Studio630 to host Oct. 27 reception for Member Fine Art Show

The Studios630 artists group is celebrating the works of its talented member artists with their 2019 Member Fine Art Show. This exhibit is on display through Dec. 2.

The NUHS Art Gallery, which is managed by Studios630, can be found inside Clinic Building B of National University of Health Sciences, 200 E. Roosevelt Road in Lombard, just north of the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Highland Avenue.

The exhibit is free and can be viewed by the public during clinic operating hours: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

A special Artists' Reception to honor the featured artists and their works will be held at the NUHS Art Gallery from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27.

Artists will be on hand to talk about their works. The show will be judged ahead of time with awards presented to the winning artists at the reception. This reception is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

This is an excellent opportunity to purchase local fine art originals for your home or office for holiday gifts. A variety of media will be exhibited, including oil on canvas, acrylic, collage, mixed-media, photograph, and pastel.

"Many members are full-time artists, educators, graphic designers, and self-taught professionals. They are very passionate about their work," says Studios630 president Sharon Tinker.

"I joined this group because I am inspired by the artistic talent of its members, their friendliness and willingness to share their techniques. There are fun meetings with occasional demo workshops," said board member Carol Marcus.
