MCC, ECC and Waubonsee to hold college fairs

Elgin Community College will hold its college night from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, at the college, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin. Attendees can meet with representatives from more than 100 colleges and universities. Drop by anytime to meet with college representatives, pick up materials and explore options.

There will be two presentations, Choosing Careers (Building H, Room H124) and Choosing a College (Building G, Spartan Auditorium), which will be offered twice throughout the night (6:15-7 p.m. and 7:15- 8 p.m.).

MCC

McHenry County College will host a College Fair 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at McHenry County College, 8900 Route 14, Crystal Lake, in the MCC Gym and Commons Area.

High school juniors and seniors and their parents, current college students who are interested in exploring transfer schools, and adults returning to college are welcome to meet with more than 100 college admission representatives from schools around the state and country.

Information on degrees, programs of study, tuition and admission requirements will be provided by the attending colleges and universities. Plus, a special MCC to 4-year College Pathway presentation will take place at 6:30 p.m. and again at 7:15 p.m. in the Luecht Auditorium.

Waubonsee

Waubonsee Community College will host College Night from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, on its Sugar Grove Campus (Route 47 and Waubonsee Drive) in the Academic and Professional Center.

Waubonsee's annual College Night is a free event designed for students, parents and community residents who want to discuss college options. There will be representatives from more than 125 colleges and universities from across the country available to answer questions. There will also be informational presentations on topics such as choosing a college, choosing a major and financial aid.

At 5 p.m., Waubonsee's career development experts will hold a special session for high school seniors. They will discuss the top careers in our region in the coming years.

A casual dinner will be provided for those who attend this event. This special session is free, but seating is limited and RSVP is required. Visit www.waubonsee.edu/hotcareers to register for this special session.
