With shiny, multicolored scales, Rainbow Fish is the most beautiful fish in all the ocean, and the only one of her kind. When Rainbow Fish refuses to share her vibrant, shimmering scales, the whole ocean seems to turn against the vain creature. Unhappy that no one adores her anymore, the Rainbow Fish seeks out the wise Octopus, who helps her learn that it's far better to be admired for being kind than for being beautiful. Playwright Austin Zumbro adapted this musical from the book written and illustrated by Marcus Pfister.

Palatine Park District Cultural Arts Coordinator Ashley Schiavone said, "I am excited for the opportunity to share this timeless children's book and take it to the stage. This is the first year this stage adaptation is available and I am proud to bring such a powerful childhood tale to the Palatine community."

Family Friendly Theatre schedules performances throughout the year on days off school. The shows are suitable for children ages 3 to 12 years.

According to Julie Selof, Community Relationship manager, Andigo Credit Union is proud to be presenting sponsor for "The Rainbow Fish Musical." Founded in 1939, Andigo is not-for-profit and offers all the services of a bank. Open to the community, they have a branch in Schaumburg on Meacham Road and their newest branch is located in Carol Stream.
