'Vintage Voice' radio players perform on Huntley Community Radio

Since April 2016, the Theatre Company of Sun City's Radio Players have performed classic plays from original scripts on Huntley Community Radio, 101.5 FM.

"Vintage Voices" airs at 11 a.m. on Sundays and 12:30 p.m. Wednesdays.

The actors have performed detective series episodes including "The Thin Man," "Boston Blackie," "Dragnet" and "Sherlock Holmes."

Beginning in September, they will present comedy episodes from "Our Miss Brooks" and "My Friend Irma."

Each show is about 27 minutes long.

Huntley Community Radio began its operation as an Internet radio station in late summer 2012. With approval from the Federal Communications Commission, it has expanded its operation to broadcast as a low-power FM station to the Huntley community. Regular daytime programming consists of local news, sports, and weather; programs focusing on community development and services; education; health; recreation; civic activities and events; and business development and interests.
