Celebrate the holiday season with Geneva Commons' tree lighting, ice rink

The recent completion of the major renovation to the Geneva Commons courtyard area, "The Green," provides the ideal setting for an ice-skating rink during the holiday season.

The rink will operate through Sunday, Jan. 13 at the outdoor shopping center.

Hours for Ice Skating on the Green will be 4 to 8 p.m. weekdays, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays. Cost is $6, $4 for children, age 6 or younger. Skates can be rented for $4. Skates with toe picks are prohibited.

On Sundays, to Dec. 23, Santa will stroll throughout the commons from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

Afterward, he will be at the Santa Station near Learning Express Toys for indoor visits from 2 to 5 p.m.

Parents can bring cameras for photo opportunities.
