On Friday, Oct. 5, Judson University's Art and Design Department will welcome alumna Maria Amalia Wood, Class of 2006, back to campus to give a lecture in the Harm A. Weber Academic Center, Room 221, 1151 N. State St., Elgin.

Shortly after her presentation, a reception will follow with the artist in the Draewell Gallery from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Wood holds a bachelor's degree in General Art, with a minor in Visual Communications, from Judson and an MFA in Textile Art and Design from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Pieces from her "Tengo un Nombre" collection will be on display through Nov. 16 in the Draewell Gallery.
