Enjoy monthly night hikes by the light of the moon

Learn the legends of the moon during monthly evening hikes offered by the Forest Preserve District of Kane County.

During these hikes, listen to stories and learn a little astronomy by the light of the full moon. "By the Light of the Moon" evening hikes will take place, even if the skies are cloudy. Evening hikes are planned:

The Harvest Moon hike will take place Monday, Sept. 24, from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. at Dick Young Forest Preserve, 39W115 Main St., Batavia.

The Hunter's Moon hike will take place Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Pingree Grove Forest Preserve, 14N187 Route 20, Pingree Grove.

These free programs are for all-ages. Advance registration is required. Call (630) 444-3190 or email programs@kaneforest.com to register.
