Kenway Consulting's ninth annual charity golf outing raises $36,000 for ALIVE Rescue

As a result of fundraising efforts conducted during Kenway Consulting's 2018 charity golf outing, the company is proud to announce that it raised $36,000 for ALIVE Rescue, an animal rescue that saves, rehabilitates and places abandoned, abused and stray animals.

ALIVE Rescue has been the beneficiary of Kenway's annual fundraising event for the past three years, during which time the company has raised more than $100,000 for the Chicago-based nonprofit.

"ALIVE Rescue has set a lofty goal of saving 300 lives in 2018," said Kristen Gerali, ALIVE Rescue's founder and president. "Many of the animals we bring into our rescue are major medical cases that require a lot of care. Kenway's extremely generous donation will help us reach that goal, and change the lives of so many cats, dogs and rabbits. We are so grateful."

Kenway's ninth annual event was held on Saturday, Sept. 8, at Naperville's Tamarack Golf Club.

In addition to the day's signature scramble, festivities included breakfast; lunch; a live raffle with $12,500 in cash prizes and merchandise ranging from hotel stays and sporting event tickets, to restaurant and spa gift certificates; and a back-by-popular-demand Puppy Kissing Booth, featuring some of ALIVE Rescue's adoptable pups.

"On behalf of everyone at Kenway, I want to extend a sincere thank you to all who helped us raise money for ALIVE Rescue and make this annual event such a success," said Brian King, Kenway's president and CEO. "From the 112 golfers and the event's sponsors, donors, and raffle purchasers; to Kristen Gerali, Bianca Parra and the many other ALIVE Rescue volunteers who assisted in making the day run so smoothly; to Hasitha Sridharan, John Tabash, Kristen Wannemaker and all of Kenway's volunteers who helped plan and run the outing from start to finish, we thank you for your collective efforts and continued support. This event wouldn't be possible without you, and we look forward to working together again next year to raise even more funds for this wonderful organization."

ALIVE Rescue believes every animal has the right to a well-balanced, socialized and fulfilled life, and provides medical, behavioral and physical support for animals despite their age, health and/or breed. The organization promotes sustainable living and care-giving within communities by building awareness, appreciation and respect for all animals and the environment. Visit www.aliverescue.org.
